High-end New York City condos make efforts to reach out to folks with kids on board.NYC luxury condos for kids

More families today are deciding to skip the move to the suburbs when kids arrive, due to New York City's walkability, great neighborhoods, and abundant amenities. When young families look for apartments, children–and the perks that please them–are often the focus.

Here are a few New York City apartment buildings with amenities just for kids:
- 40 Bond Street in NoHo offers 24-hour child care and babysitting services.
- In Battery Park City,  The Visionaire boasts a saltwater aquarium and has collaborated with amenities consultant Wellness 360 on cultural and recreational activities geared toward kids.
- Manhattan House on East 66th Street revamped its children’s play space with help from Roto Studios–designer of the Manhattan Children’s Museum.
- On West 59th Street, Element offers a children’s swimming pool, fitness programs for kids and an FAO-Schwarz-branded playroom.
- 170 East End Avenue has an architect-designed kids’ lounge with an art studio, game center and wifi lounge with a video arcade and toddler play space.
- The Rushmore on the Upper West Side tapped the expertise of Kidville NY to design a playroom offering art, music and dance classes.

And in Brooklyn, where new developments are playing catch-up with Manhattan apartments as far as size and number of bedrooms, Williamsburg condo The Edge recently launched "Frolic!" a 1,500 square-foot “rock-n-roll playspace.”
