Untitled: A New Dining Option at the Whitney

MARCH 25, 2011

Gold-standard restaurateur Danny Meyer (Eleven Madison Park, Union Square Cafe, Blue Smoke) opened the door this week on his new eatery at the Whitney Museum. The restaurant hasn’t “officially” opened yet, but you can get a sneak peek at the fully designed cafe, and a majority of the menu is available, with the remainder of the dishes making their debut in April.

Untitled will offer a contemporary take on the classic Manhattan coffee shop, with a menu of simple, seasonal comfort food created by Chris Bradley, formerly Executive Sous Chef of Gramercy Tavern. Menu highlights include freshly baked breakfast pastries, eggs and omelets, waffles and pancakes, salads, soups, sandwiches and burgers, daily “Meat and Three” specials and a fairly impressive list of desserts from some of the city’s best-loved local sweet spots (Pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Blue Marble Ice Cream). Untitled will also serve Stumptown coffee.

Like most of Meyer’s restaurants, Untitled gives diners a choice between a casual cafe and a more formal dining space. Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group also runs the award-winning Modern restaurant at MoMA.
