Scary is in the house! Venture into any or all of the city’s most horrific haunted houses if you dare.

Nightmare Haunted House 2011
One of the city’s best haunted houses visits Fairy Tales as this year’s theme, and as you can guess, happy endings are nowhere to be found. Instead, you’ll find yourself lost in a dark forest, reliving the terrifying experiences extracted from over a dozen twisted stories handed down by The Brothers Grimm, Aesop, Hans Christian Anderson, and more.

Steampunk Haunted House
Third Rail Projects hits one out of the fright park again this year with their visually stunning, lushly designed journey into the darker, more terrifying aspects of Lewis Carroll’s classic stories. In this immersive experience, audience members are thrust into a beautiful and terrifying dreamscape of neo-Victorian elegance and phantasmagoric clockwork horrors.

Blackout Haunted House
The New York Times has called this no-one-under-18-admitted adult experience from the creators of NYC Halloween Haunted House “the extreme theater event of the year,” and comes with the instruction that visitors must walk through alone. Reviews caution that you may not emerge as quite the same person as you were when you entered.
