What's Going on This Week

OCTOBER 22, 2008

New music is everywhere you look this week, as well as tastes of the local bounty and a great chance to stock up on art books.

CMJ Music Marathon
Though it started decades ago with college radio, the new music extravaganza that blows into New York City every fall is hardly just for kids. It's a music industry must and a great way to check out new and already-famous indie bands. Top-notch venues like Music Hall of Williamsburg and Bowery Ballroom are good bets to check out.
October 21-25; venues vary
