The Man Who Wasn't There (2001)
This black-and-white noir tale is one of the Coen Brothers’ (Fargo, No Country for Old Men) best. Billy Bob Thornton and Francis McDormand add striking depth to a 1949 crime story that’s both subtle and absurd. The film is part of the IFC center’s series “The Coen Brothers,” playing select dates through
