Dozens of artists and collectives converge on Governor’s Island this weekend for this annual celebration of participatory art and culture as the island is transformed into one massive interactive work of art.

Key to the City
This citywide public art project conceived by artist Paul Ramírez Jonas gives New Yorkers and visitors access to specially-chosen spaces throughout the five boroughs. Bring a friend or someone you admire to the kiosk in Times Square, receive a key to bestow on them, and unlock doors to art and knowledge from Bryant Park to Staten Island.
The kiosk is open from June 3 to 27, Monday–Friday; 2 p.m.–8 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday; 12 p.m.–8 p.m.. Most locks can be opened through Labor Day
