Christian Marclay: Festival at the Whitney
This highly-recommended interactive exhibition features multiple daily performances of artist/composer Marclay’s musical scores. Visitors to the Whitney will be encouraged to mark up a wall-sized chalkboard with musical staff lines and notes, creating a collective musical score which will be performed throughout the run of the show.

18th Annual Poet’s House Showcase
The annual Poets House Showcase is a free exhibit featuring all of the new poetry books and texts published in the United States this year, with more than 2,000 titles on view.

Celebrate Brooklyn! Presents The National and Beach House at Prospect Park Bandshell
An early evening concert in Prospect Park is a great way to unwind after work. Indie darlings The National have gained a huge following and Beach House are well on their way to becoming everybody’s new “dream-pop” favorites.
