Tom Tom Club at Brooklyn Bowl
Waaaay back in the ’80s, Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz made beats for a band called the Talking Heads. The nutty couple’s side project, Tom Tom Club, gave the world a dose of hippity-hoppity fun before the tidal wave of hip-hop ever hit.

Bacon Takedown
Wallow in—count ‘em—20 different bacon recipes from local cooks, each with 15 lbs. of Hormel Black Label bacon with which to add a few zeros to your calorie count. If the pig’s not your preference, do the green-and-bumpy with a barrel of your favorite kosher dills at the NY Food Museum’s 10th annual Pickle Day in—where else—the Lower East Side.
