This 21-story, white-brick building at 180 East End Avenue between 88th and 89th Streets is known as Gracie Towers and was built in 1961 and has 155 cooperative apartments.

It was building by Carol Management Corporation of which Alfred L. Kaskel was the principal and it was designed by Sylvan Bien.

Gracie Mansion, the mayor's residence since the early 1940's, is just a short distance away in Carl Schurz Park.

As a result, security here is superb and so are the dramatic views that also include picturesque vistas of Long Island Sound and its bridges.
