A 21-story residential condominium building with 208 apartments is planned for 316 Third Avenue on the northwest corner at 23rd Street.
The development, which is known as Gramercy Green, is being built by the J. D. Carlisle Development Corporation, which built Morton Square, the Cielo and the Centria.
Perkins Eastman Architects are designing the building, which has one setback.R., and the firm also designed the Cielo and the Centria.
The development site had been sold recently for $82 million in a transaction brokered by Eastern Consolidated.
The building will have a 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, a lobby with glass art by Tom Patti, 24-hour concierge service, a cardio-fitness center, and storage units. Each apartment will have a washer and dryer and an open kitchen and many apartments will have corner windows.
The 2nd through the 6th floors will have studio, junior one-bedroom, one-bedroom and one-bedroom-with-home-office units. The 7th through the 16th floors will have studio, junior one-bedroom, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The 17th floor will have one- and two-bedroom units. The 18th through the 21st floors will have one-bedroom-with-home-office, and one- and two-bedroom units.
There is excellent public transportation and this site is convenient to the Flatiron and Gramercy Park neighborhoods.
