Williamsburg has emerged as one of Brooklyn’s most in-demand neighborhoods, and developers and designers are working to accommodate that. Demolition permits for the three-story house previously at 194 Ainslie Street were filed in June 2016, and a sleek new boutique condominium dubbed 194 Ainslie Villa has risen in its place. While the new building designed by SM Studio does not loom over its neighbors, its 40’ height and slick facade nevertheless stand out on this block.
As of this writing, three of the seven units are currently on the market. One-bedrooms start at $675K, and a three-bedroom garden duplex is listed for $1.295 million. At an average price of $1,090 per square foot, the new building is roughly in line with the Williamsburg average of $1,106 per square foot (per CityRealty data).
