Here's the first look atKane Ventures' upcoming mixed-use building at 166 West 128th Street, situated on the corner of Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and across the street from the landmarked Metropolitan Baptist Church in Harlem.

Building permits, which were approved in June 2017, call for a 7-story structure to hold 38 units. It is unknown whether rentals or condos are in store but the average size of each unit will be 769 square feet. The boxy design is on the safe (and boring) side, but the building will provide 6,065 square feet of retail to the neighborhood and host a 1,005-square-foot community facility on the first floor. According to an October 2017 Google street view, the lot is still vacant.

Permits call for a generous amount of amenities which include a fitness room, bike room, mailroom, roof deck, and a number of terraces and balconies Sadly, it seems most of the terraces will face the wall of the neighboring building – a view that can't actually be marketed as "breathtaking." Alexander Compagno Architecture + Design is the architect of record.
