The residential skyscraper, which has been given the name ALTA LIC, is within one of the nation's fastest growing rental communities. It's a fresh take on luxury rentals, offering "bigger living spaces, brighter views, and the lifestyle you crave," according to the newly launched leasing website. Listings and pricing have yet to be revealed by Citi Habitats, which is handling leasing.

Rising to 43 floors above the eastern edge of Queens Plaza at 29-22 Northern Boulevard, it was developed by Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global, with a design by Stephen B. Jacobs Group. Inside are 467 units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, along with a collection of Ollie coliving micro suites.
Interior images are forthcoming, but Citi Habitats has given hints on what to expect in the amenity department. Spaces called the ALTA+ Deck and ALTA+ Lounge will offer two floors of indoor and outdoor amenities including a lawn with movie screenings and views of the city. There will also be a double-height co-working space, a skylit indoor lap pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.
