The d’Orsay is an elegant new condo finishing construction at 211 West 14th Street at the meeting of Chelsea and Greenwich Village. Announced in 2014, the Adellco-developed venture is approaching completion and is set to open later this spring. Now with the final interior touches being applied to interiors, the sales and marketing team has given us the first look at the building’s model residence.

Designed by the experienced firm of Hill West Architects, the building is dressed in Roman-style bricks interspersed with oversized multi-pane windows. Despite standing 11 stories high, well above the four- and five-floor walk-ups flanking it, the building complements its context and enhances its surroundings.
The facade’s beautiful proportions are reflected within. Here, there will be 21 one- to three-bedroom homes refined the internationally-acclaimed designer Jacques Garcia — his first endeavor in New York. The just-released model photos effectively convey the coupling of minimalistic contemporary stylings galvanized by industrial accents. All units have high ceilings, gorgeous chevron-patterned floors (oak throughout aside from the Nuvolato marble floor in baths), and natural material finishes that include oak cabinets, marble baths, and custom metal finishes. Kitchens have a fully vented Wolf cooktop and wall oven, an integrated Liebherr refrigerator, a Bosch dishwasher and wine refrigerator. Additionally, custom-designed light fixtures are designed by Mr. Garcia himself.

The building’s crème de la crème is its full floor penthouse which has 1,300 square feet of terrace space — one off the Great Room and another on an upper level that has a wet bar and fireplace. The building’s human-scaled locale affords the upper-level homes expansive views over lower Manhattan towards the downtown skyline and World Trade Center. The penthouse's three bedrooms (each with an en-suite bath) are positioned along the building’s north side and overlook the private gardened backyards of the block.
