Every week CityRealty will highlight Instagram accounts that go above and beyond, have a big impact, think outside the rectangular screen, ooze New York spirit and, most of all, inspire. Check them out below, and of course, our own account here.
@citizen360nyc
Citizen360, a new Upper East Side luxury condominium designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Anbau, really captures the UES in all its glory. Their feed consistently makes me click their photo location links to find out where to get that tastey food and drinks.
@uptown.sarah
Speaking of the UES, Sarah Trull, a broker from Bizzarro Agency, adores her neighborhood and it shows. Trull posts photos of quintessential UES townhouses, delectable cafes and cute purchases from local shops.
@frickcollection
As the battle over the planned Annabelle Selldorf expansion of the Frick Collection continues, the stately museum continues to post beautiful photos of their art, timely connections to their collection and humanizing “meet the staff” posts.
@itsmesamwass
The co-owner of the hotly anticipated, fast casual, Middle Eastern restaurant Dez set to open tomorrow at 227 Mulberry Street, has been slowly leaking photos of the new restaurant’s cool design. Described by Coveteur as “an Instagram moment waiting to happen, this fast-casual restaurant, which will have everything from coffee and pastries in the morning to curry and mouth-watering pink, beet hummus, is sure to be hot.
#venicebiennale
And for those of us who weren’t cool enough to make it to Venice this week, we relied on the hashtag to see famous architects acing like Alice in Wonderland with out of proportioned rooms and doors, the Vatican City championing contemporary architecture by sponsoring amazing temples designs and Bjarke’s BIG party boat.
