When getting ready to market a home, sellers are usually advised to clear it of personal items so as not to distract from the property. But in the case of celebrities, personal mementos can do a number to drum up interest in the listing. For example, when Bruce Fancher listed the Gramercy Park home of his parents, counselor/writer Vivian Kramer and Village Voice founder Ed Fancher, his broker advised him to leave Village Voice posters up, saying they were a part of the seller’s legacy (h/t Curbed).

Furthermore, in the case of an architect, designer, or other visual artist, sometimes the unit itself is the work of art and thus more distinctive than any item on display. Such is the case with the recently sold Fifth Avenue home of architect Henry Cobb and artist Meghan Boody’s newly listed Tribeca loft. These listings, along with Mr. Fancher’s, were among the celebrity real estate transactions of February 2024.

Appropriately enough, actor Liam Neeson's Upper West Side apartment is located a stone's throw from the AMC Lincoln Square movie theater with IMAX, the better to enjoy his recent action roles. He bought it with his late wife, actress Natasha Richardson, from the developer for $3.9 million in 1999, and has listed it because he is spending more time upstate (h/t Crain's New York Business). If it sells for the asking price, it would set a new record for the tower.

From the Listing:
Enjoy panoramic views from the 28th floor of the Park Millennium. 28DEF is a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom beautifully laid out apartment. Entering the apartment you are greeted by a beautiful foyer and gallery perfectly appointed for any art collection. Straight ahead you are welcomed by a wall of windows that offer incredible city and park views with north, south, east and west exposures. These windows encompass the living room, formal dining room and den; all centered on a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. It’s the perfect layout for all your entertaining needs. The kitchen features dual sinks, dual dishwashers, chef’s appliances and ample storage.
