From April 19-25, 2023, a total of 352 sales listings throughout New York experienced price reductions. Among them was 251 East 61st Street, a property located just outside the Upper East Side's Treadwell Farms Historic District, dating back to the 19th century, and comprising a four-story townhouse and a two-story rear carriage house, the latter of which is a rarity in New York. Designer TRA Studios embarked on a massive renovation that gave the two separate buildings a more uniform appearance, recreated lost historic details, and upgraded the buildings with top-of-the-line finishes, high-end appliances, state-of-the-art technology, and extensive green space.

Public records indicated that 251 East 61st Street last sold for nearly $6 million in fall 2015. It was initially listed for $14.25 million in February 2016, but has bounced from brokerage to brokerage with fluctuating prices since then. Most recently, it was reduced to $10,250,000.
