Shortly after a penthouse at 378 West End Avenue sold for $25,950,000, the past week was another good one for Upper West Side condos. The top sale took place at the amenity-rich One Riverside Park, where a six-bedroom, 6,168-square-foot penthouse closed for $19,075,000. Additionally, shortly after Only Murders in the Building nabbed three Emmy Awards, the building used for its exterior shots remains popular. A massive corner four-bedroom at The Belnord recently closed for $8,800,000.
The second-highest sale of the past week took place at Central Park Tower. The world's tallest residential building is currently chasing another superlative; if a triplex penthouse at the top closes for the asking price of $250,000,000, it will be the most expensive home in the country. This week's sale, however, closed for only (!!!) $12,916,738. The apartment measured three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and 3,073 interior square feet.

Since retiring from baseball in 2018, former Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard has become as well known for his real estate investments as for his athletic accomplishments. His latest coup is a loft penthouse in a prime Noho address. An advertisement for the apartment stated that the unit and others in the building can only be purchased by working artists, but Crain's New York Business points out that this was in error and likely the result of an old program that sought to allow artists to live in former industrial space. However, even if that was the case, Mr. Howard and his wife Krystle Howard would qualify: The couple are co-authors of the Little Rhino series of children's books.
