Heatherwood Communities is putting the finishing touches on their 647-foot-tall Long Island City high-rise named Tower 28. When the building opens this March, it will be the tallest residential skyscraper in New York City outside of Manhattan and thus, will present its residents with dramatic views across the city. New renderings published by the building’s architect, Hill West (formerly Goldstein, Hill & West) show the tower’s dominating silhouette and dynamic façade which Hill West says is composed of a combination of spandrel glass and fritted glass panels in a variety of different colors and patterns.

Inside will be 451 rental units benefited by a large array of amenities mostly held within the project’s smaller wing on 27th Street. According to Curbed, layouts are comprised of studios to three-bedrooms and apartment rents will range from $1,900 to $7,500 per month. MNS is handling marketing and leasing and tapped staging firm The Design High to furnish the model units to complement the neutral-colored finishes and floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments are equipped with GE appliances, Bosch washer and dryer bundles, stainless steel GE appliances and central heating and air conditioning.
