Here's our glimpse of what Borough Park-based developer, Abe Wald is planning at 1040 Union Street in Crown Heights. The site is located between Franklin and Bedford Avenues and is currently occupied by a duplex two-family townhouse built in 1915. The permit application approved late last year indicate the project will build upon the existing house and ultimately hold a 4-story rental building with 8 apartment units, one of which will be a duplex penthouse. The walk-up building will rise an additional 31 feet from its existing 23-foot height and include a laundry room, bike storage, and a roof deck. Joseph A. Mucciolo is the architect of record and J. Goldman is handling the exterior and interior design. The project is slated for completion in 2017.
