The team that constructed VIA 57 West emphasizes the shape is not a pyramid, but rather a tetrahedron. The center is hollowed out to provide a lush elevated courtyard that opens to the Hudson River. The building also hosts the Stephen Glassman sculpture, “Flow Two Ways” which provides residents a grand work of art as they enter or leave the building. There is commercial space at the base of the building including the newly opened movie theater Landmark at 57 West.
