Downtown Brooklyn's 1 Flatbush Debuts Leasing Website; Coming Summer 2018

Downtown Brooklyn has had no shortage of new high-rise rental buildings - and now another is nearing its debut. The 19-story tower under construction at 1 Flatbush Avenue topped out roughly one year ago and a brand new leasing website has launched announcing a summer 2018 opening. The 160,000-square-foot project is from a partnership of developers including Capstone Equities, the Carlyle Group and Slate Property Group - and the building has a design by Hill West Architects.

We recently stopped by the site and facade installation is nearly complete with the majority of exterior work remaining on the lower levels. According to the new website, apartments will come in studio, one- and two-bedroom residences and while no pricing has been announced, current rental listings in Downtown Brooklyn have a median price of $3,450/month. Leasing is handled by Citi Habitats.

There will be 183 units in all, with floors 4-13 holding fourteen apartments apiece, and floors 14-19 holding seven. According to Hill West, residents will be greeted by a double-height lobby that will hold a grand chandelier, and other amenities will include a rooftop terrace, a shuffleboard court, communal lounges, a game room, a fitness center, yoga studio, tenant storage and bicycle storage.
