As of this writing, there are 21,558 available listings for rent all over New York City, a high number that has nevertheless started to plateau in recent weeks. Manhattan median rents are down a touch from last week to come in at $2,274/month for studios, $2,869/month for one-bedrooms, $3,471/month for two-bedrooms, and $4,136/month for three-bedrooms (all figures per CityRealty listings).

Below, we take a look at appealing rentals in some of New York's most highly coveted neighborhoods. Some have experienced rent reductions, and others are offering free rent or other incentives to sweeten the deal. Please note that all figures quoted in the chart reflect cumulative reductions as opposed to the most recent cuts.
