With construction nearly complete on the first building and a brand new Target coming to its base this July, residents of Extell's EVGB – short for East Village's Greatest Building – certainly have a lot to look forward to. CityRealty recently had a chance to tour the 110-rental complex, made up of two 7-story buildings at 510 and 520 East 14th Street, and got the inside scoop on even more perks now available to the lucky residents.

First things first, moving in now will get you 2 months free of rent and for a limited time, the $80 amenity fee will be waved. That means you can access all of EVGB's "boutique industrial" amenity spaces designed by McGinley Design, including an indoor saltwater lap pool, a steam room, a children's playroom, a fitness center, a residents' lounge with a custom bar and kitchen, and an impressive 19,000-square-foot roof deck complete with stunning views, bocce courts, pergolas, fire pits, an outdoor screening area, and even a fitness area perfect for your morning yoga.

Inside, you'll find apartment interiors featuring in-unit Bosch washer/dryers, lots of closet space, hardwood white oak flooring, and fabulous kitchens with Miele and Bosch appliances. And that's not all – EVGB is now joining just a handful of new developments that are using the latest technology to their advantage. Like Henry Hall and Tishman Speyer's upcoming Jackson Park, EVGB is equipping all of its residents with an Amazon Echo dot that is integrated with the building and can even alert the doorman to expect one of your guests. You'll also be able to ask other questions and dole out commands ("Lower my air conditioner") specific to the building.

And the perks continue: EVGB is pending Silver or Gold certification which means you'll be moving into an energy-efficient building that not only helps the planet by reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions but helps you save money on utility bills.
And while the L train construction is nearby, virtually soundproof windows ensure you can't hear any of it. The construction also means the addition of another L train stop right across the street, allowing easier access to Union Square and Brooklyn.
