Long Island City's 22-22 Jackson Avenue is now fully leased. Long Island City's 22-22 Jackson Avenue is now fully leased.
The Gershon Company’s newly constructed rental building at 22-22 Jackson Avenue is now fully leased. The Long Island City building was designed by ODA Architecture and features a unique, stacked cube design with many recessed sections, and a handsome exposed-concrete façade. The effect is a structure that “blurs the line between functional design and a work of art,” according to the building’s website. The mid-rise tops out at eleven stories and has 174 no-fee rental units.

Inside, residences feature floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak hardwood floors, HVAC central air systems, and double-rod closets for maximum closet space. Kitchens include custom stone counters and high-end appliances. Select residences feature private terraces and washer/dryers. Shared laundry facilities are conveniently located on each floor.
The building features a triple-height lobby with a mezzanine lounge and a full-time doorman. It also has a roof deck, a landscaped courtyard, a fitness center and sky-lit swimming pool, a bike room, private storage, and on-site parking.

Situated in the rapidly evolving neighborhood of Long Island City, the building is near a growing number of destinations in the area, including MoMa PS1. Manhattan is minutes away, and residents are closely located to several subway lines. The community has a growing cosmopolitan vibe, with and endless supply of restaurants, shops, and bars. You can read CityRealty's review of the building from architecture critic Carter Horsely here.

The building has 35 units set aside for affordable housing and just last week, 6sqft announced the launch of the affordable housing lottery, which is accepting applications though November 9th.
