Windsor Park is a boutique condominium conversion of the circa 1928 Windsor Helmsley Hotel, originally designed by legendary architect Rosario Candela. The 14 story building was transformed in 2005 by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, who added two dramatic penthouses with vaulted ceilings and created double height living rooms in many corner units. Developers Yitzchak Tessler and Meyer Chetrit converted the former 242 room hotel into 100 residences ranging from studios to four bedroom apartments, including several duplex layouts.
Apartments feature open kitchens equipped with Sub-Zero refrigerators, Viking ranges, and Bosch dishwashers, along with in unit washer/dryers. Bathrooms are finished with marble and granite surfaces, soaking tubs, and polished Dornbracht fixtures. The duplex units are particularly notable for their 18 to 19 foot ceilings and dramatic double height living rooms, while the penthouses boast vaulted ceilings reaching 25 feet with skylights, wraparound terraces, and multiple fireplaces. A few units offer Central Park views.
The full service building provides a 24 hour doorman, concierge, on-site superintendent, resident manager, porters, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a landscaped rooftop terrace. Additional amenities include bike storage, a children's playroom, and a pet friendly policy. Located at 100 West 58th Street, Windsor Park sits just one block south of Central Park and one block west of Fifth Avenue, with convenient access to Columbus Circle, Carnegie Hall, multiple subway lines, and the neighborhood's premier shopping and dining destinations.
