Rockefeller Apartments, #3C (Fox Residential Group) Rockefeller Apartments, #3C (Fox Residential Group)
When New York Fashion Week begins on September 9, 2022, coverage of the designers, collections, and models will be all over social media, YouTube, blogs, and news websites. But before we had any of that, we had Elsa Klensch, the host of CNN's Style with Elsa Klensch and "the OG purveyor of style," as Town and Country put it. Her weekly show debuted in 1980 on the same day CNN went on the air, and spent the next two decades bringing haute couture fashion shows, supermodels, and fashion designers to a much wider and more eager audience than the traditional realm of print media and buyers. She was honored with two CFDA Awards, including the Eugenia Sheppard Award for journalism, and inducted into the International Best Dressed Hall of Fame.
Ms. Klensch's impeccable sense of style extended to her home in Rockefeller Apartments, the complex designed by the magnate's personal architects. The one-bedroom co-op is distinguished by its curved windows, circular dining rooms, and views of treetops and the MoMA Sculpture Garden. The building is a short distance from Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and a number of designer flagship stores.

Following Ms. Klensch's death earlier this year, her estate listed the apartment for $1.15 million in June 2022. However, it recently had its price reduced by $155K, or 13.5%, to $995K. It was one of the 195 units throughout New York that experienced price reductions from August 10-16, 2022.
