Indie it-girl LeeLee Sobieski tries her hand at real estate collection, buys Renee Zellweger’s Upper East Side trio; Brady-Bundchens find a buyer at last; Murdoch minion acquires Muppet Mansion

Renee Zellweger has finally sold her cache of co-ops at 24 East 82nd Street. She purchased the three apartments, two of which have been combined into one, for $8.2 million in 2007 and 2008. No word on how much they’ve been sold for, but their new owner is indie film princess and native Manhattanite LeeLee Sobieski (Curbed NY).

The high-floor Time Warner Center condo belonging to NFL star Tom Brady and his wife, model Gisele Bundchen, has found a buyer after four years on the market. Vermonter Robert Stiller, former CEO of Green Mountain Coffee Company and reportedly the wealthiest man in his home state, has purchased the lavish 3-bedroom 74th floor apartment overlooking Central Park for $17.5 million, netting Brady $3.5 mil. (Curbed NY).

Funnyblogger Andy Borowitz (of Borowitz Report fame) and his wife Olivia Gentile have moved on up to the East Side, to the prewar Merritt House, a new condo conversion at 167 East 82nd Street (NY Observer).

Executive Suite: Edgar Bronfman, Jr. has divested himself of the “Muppet Mansion,”—former home of muppeteer Jim Henson—at a loss for $23 million. The just-out-of-plain-sight name on the building’s deed is that of Jesse Angelo, editor-in-chief of Rupert Murdoch-owned Newscorp’s new iPad-only venture, The Daily. Angelo already owns a 1.9 million apartment in the MePa contemporary standout condo Porter House; Bronfman bought the 117-119 East 69th Street fixer-upper, which is still in need of fixing-up, for $28.5 million in 2008 (NY Observer).
