Diddy departs, but actors still adore the Upper West Side; A legal eagle makes a wise Manhattan investment.

Hip Hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has put his condo on the 66th floor of the Park Imperial at 230 West 56th Street on the market for $8.5 million. The three-bedroom, 2,300-square-foot apartment boasts a piano room, a media room and a state-of-the-art sound system. Neighbors in the highly-rated West Midtown building include guru Deepak Chopra and former Law & Order star Christopher Meloni (NYPost).

Bruce Willis and family, who have been on an Upper West Side house hunt, recently toured a five-bedroom condo at the Olcott at 27 West 72nd Street. The available unit at the 16-story, prewar condo conversion is a 4,666-square-foot apartment with a media room and private terrace, listed at $11.4 million. Willis sold his three-bedroom condo at Trump Place at 220 Riverside Boulevard last year for $3.9 million (He had bought it at the market’s height in 2007 for $4.26 million) (NYPost).

Frasier’s Niles Crane, AKA David Hyde Pierce has, with husband David Hargrove, purchased a third unit in the co-op building at 260 West End Avenue. The couple already own the building’s penthouse and another 16th floor apartment.The actor’s latest 16th floor acquisition has three bedrooms and a westerly view of the Hudson River (CurbedNY).

High-profile Cambridge-based lawyer Alan Dershowitz recently invested in a Manhattan pied-a-terre at 45 Sutton Place for $1.68 million. The three-bedroom, 16th floor co-op boasts tons of sunlight and river and park views (NYObserver).
