This relatively new addition to the summer festival lineup, brought to you by the Village Voice, is free and happens rain or shine. This year’s headliners on two stages include Kurt Vile and the Violators, The Men, Marnie Stern and more.

Harlem Arts Festival
This free annual festival at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater will showcase music, dance, theater and visual artists based in or inspired by Harlem. The community is invited to celebrate Harlem’s vibrant cultural landscape and contemporary artistry.

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers
The brainy, multi-talented comedian is currently touring with Edie Brickell, performing from their new album "Love Has Come for You," which features Martin’s inventive five-string banjo work with Brickell’s distinctive vocals detail-rich lyrics. This unique hybrid of bluegrass and comedy has been delighting audiences at sold-out, critically acclaimed shows.

Midsummer Night Swing
The popular dance fest has returned for another summer, as Lincoln Center welcomes jazz, mambo, rock and, yes, swing bands to Damrosch Park’s open-air ballroom. Opening night features a set by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

The inaugural Canada Day Festival in New York’s Central Park celebrates all things Canadian on the global stage, showcasing the best of Canadian business, technology, music, art, culture, education, food and tourism. Pride Week
Whichever team you play for, it’s another opportunity to raise the rainbow flag and celebrate all New Yorkers. An over-the-top West Village parade ends a week of painting the town gay.
