Timberburg is a seven-story boutique condominium located at 179 North 10th Street in Williamsburg. At 75 feet tall, it is New York City's tallest cross-laminated timber construction building to date. The project features existing masonry walls on the first floor, a new concrete foundation, and a new mass timber framing system from the first floor to the bulkhead. The team is targeting Passive House certification with features like an airtight building envelope, an all-electric infrastructure, and high-efficiency mechanical systems.
The 23 units at Timberburg comprise six one-bedrooms, 10 two-bedrooms, and seven three-bedrooms. Thirteen units have private outdoor space, including a pair of half-floor penthouses on the top floor with private terraces, and select units have double-height ceilings over 19 feet high. Interiors feature exposed CLT ceilings in the living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and stair areas, engineered wood floors, kitchens with Thermador appliances, baths with Kohler fixtures, and Bosch washers and dryers. Select three-bedroom apartments have home offices.
Amenities at Timberburg include a fitness center, a lounge, bike storage, a mail and package room, and a roof terrace. The building also offers 17 deeded parking spaces for purchase. It is located three blocks from the Bedford Avenue L train and in close proximity to McCarren Park and popular dining and retail on Bedford Avenue and Driggs Avenue.
