RiverEast is a 32 story rental tower at 408 East 92nd Street, on the southeast corner of First Avenue in Yorkville. Designed by SLCE and completed in 2005, it has deep red pilasters, corner windows, and a tower set back above the sixth floor. Madison Equities and the John Buck Company developed the building on the site of a former gas station.
The building contains 196 apartments, including a portion designated as income restricted housing. All residences have in-unit washers and dryers, while many have floor-to-ceiling or corner windows framing East River and city views. Open kitchens and walk-in closets recur in the layouts.
A 24 hour doorman and concierge staff the attended lobby. The building also has a lounge, landscaped roof terrace, and a fitness center with a lap pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna in the adjacent Courtyard hotel. Bike and personal storage are also offered.
Carl Schurz Park, the East River promenade, and Asphalt Green are clustered just south of the building. The M86 bus stops outside on East 92nd Street, and pets are permitted.
