Overview of 520 Park Avenue

520 Park Avenue is a luxury condominium located just two blocks from Grand Army Plaza and Central Park, designed by Robert A.M. Stern. The limestone-clad building stands 54 stories tall and is the highest in the neighborhood. It offers 34 residences, including both simplex and duplex units. Developed by Zeckendorf Development, Global Holdings, and Park Sixty LLC, the building features a range of amenities, such as a full-time doorman, concierge, landscaped garden, fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool.

The building's amenities also include a wine cellar, private storage, a children's playroom, a screening room, and a lounge. Residents can enjoy a 25-foot-high double-height lobby, coffered ceilings, limestone fireplaces, and landscaped fountains in the garden. The fitness center is two stories tall and includes a pool with coffered ceilings and trellised walls.

520 Park Avenue is located between Park and Madison Avenues, offering convenient access to the Upper East Side Historic District, the Plaza District, and nearby subway lines (N, R, W, Q, and F). The area is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and cafes. Pets are allowed in the building.

The development follows a tradition of collaboration between Zeckendorf Development and Robert A.M. Stern, known for other high-profile projects like 15 Central Park West and 220 Central Park South.

The project required the purchase of 70,000 square feet of air rights from Christ Church, further contributing to the building's size. The building was financed by a $450 million loan from the Children’s Investment Fund and acquired air rights from Christ Church, allowing it to reach its 779-foot height. It also features a cantilever over part of the Grolier Club on 60th Street. The structure, completed in 2018, is clad in Indiana limestone, with an asymmetrical crown at the top and a formal water tank enclosure.
