Built as a book bindery in 1881, the converted pre-war building retains exposed turnbuckles and other industrial elements in its restored common areas, while a lobby mural incorporates a historical photograph of the neighborhood.
The conversion produced varied loft layouts, including duplexes, triplexes and homes with open mezzanine levels. Apartments commonly have high ceilings, exposed timber beams, brick walls, hardwood floors and oversized windows, and several retain wood burning fireplaces. Several multilevel homes extend to private roof terraces or lower level outdoor spaces, with views toward One World Trade Center or the Brooklyn Bridge.
