252 East 57th Street is the Top-Selling New Midtown Condo So Far in 2018

The 65-story tower at 252 East 57th Street has raked in more money from condo sales than any other new development in Midtown so far in 2018, with closings totaling $104 million. So far this year, there have been 19 sales recorded in the condo. The average sales price for the sales so far in 2018 is $5,461, and the average price/ft2 is $2,397.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the 65-story tower, which was developed by World Wide Group and Rose Associates. The building has a total of 95 condominium units on its upper floors, and its many amenities include a full-service garage, business center, children’s playroom, and a fitness center.

The second biggest-selling Midtown new development so far this year is The Bryant, at 16 West 40th Street. Sales in the building so far in 2018 have totaled $48 million, with an average price of $3 million and an average price/ft2 of $2,528. The 57-unit condo overlooking Bryant Park was developed by HFZ Capital Group and designed by David Chipperfield Architects.

The third biggest-selling Midtown new development so far this year is The Vantage, at 308 East 38th Street. Sales in the building so far in 2018 have totaled $42 million, with an average price of $1.1 million and an average price/ft2 of 1,283. The Murray Hill building was a rental constructed in 2001 that was converted to condos by Gaia Real Estate.
