The Sutton is a 30-story luxury condominium at 959 First Avenue in the Sutton Place/Turtle Bay neighborhood, completed in 2016 by Toll Brothers City Living and designed by Goldstein, Hill & West. The building houses 90 condominium apartments and features a distinctive post-modern façade with Roman-style brick exterior that transitions through different colored sections—from a dark mirrored base to light red/orange tower sections with a dark metallic top. The complex tiered design with setbacks creates an ascending scale that, while somewhat controversial architecturally, offers an intriguing challenge to conventional building geometries.

Apartments throughout the building feature 11-foot ceilings, casement windows, and white oak flooring, with kitchens equipped with Gaggenau appliances and custom cabinetry by Gold & Reiss. Bathrooms showcase high-end finishes including Nero Marquina and Bardiglio marble with Watermark fixtures. Units range from one to four bedrooms, with larger apartments offering multiple exposures and views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. The building's layout includes various apartment configurations, from corner one-bedrooms to spacious four-bedroom combinations with wet bars and family rooms.
