Long Island City's ALTA LIC: No Fee Luxury Rental Homes and Co-Living Microsuites

There are plenty of new luxury rental developments in Long Island City and many offer stiff competition to those in Manhattan, especially when it comes to amenity packages and sought-after city views. The 43-story ALTA LIC is one of the latest and offers the traditional type of luxury residences - but it also offers fully furnished co-living microsuites with hotel-style services by Ollie.

The property was developed by Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global and leasing launched earlier this year for the building's 297 studios through three-bedrooms units, and also for the 422 bedrooms located in 169 microsuites. ALTA LIC also has a 27,000-square-foot package of restore style amenities.

The two- to three-bedroom shared microsuites occupy the second through fifteenth floors and come fully furnished with transforming furniture systems. Residents receive complimentary cable and Wi-Fi, weekly towel and linens service, and regular replenishment of Malin + Goetz bath amenities. Ollie Social provides unique events curated by live-in managers. The micro-suites start at a net effective price of $3,580/month with co-living rent starting at $1,730/month.

The luxury rental residences occupy the rest of the building and come in studio to two-bedroom layouts. Net effective rents start at $2,721/month for studios, $3,133/month for one-bedrooms, and $4,436/month for two-bedrooms. See all the listings here.

The spacious luxury rental residences feature uncommonly large floor plans, nine-foot ceilings, oak wood flooring, and in-unit washer/dryers. Custom kitchens are outfitted with Caesarstone countertops, porcelain tile backsplashes, and stainless steel appliances. Baths have deep soaking tubs.
ALTA LIC’s amenities are designed by Andre Kikoski, spread over several floors, and chosen to accommodate all interests and lifestyles. The second floor has a co-working lounge, game hall with stadium seating, and event room with speakers, projector, and screen. The fourth floor is dedicated to wellness with a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga and movement studio, indoor lap pool, and golf simulator.

A 38th floor outdoor deck has grilling stations, dining areas, and an outdoor movie screen with lounge seating and a great lawn. The building is topped by a lounge with a fireplace, communal workspace table, events space, and landscaped roof terrace. Amenities are not limited to humans, either; pets benefit from such services as dog-walking, pet-sitting, a grooming salon, a dog run, a veterinary care clinic, and overnight care.
