We first checked on the new rental development at 550 Kingston Avenue (or 530 Midwood Street) in June before construction was complete and now, the building is celebrating its grand opening. New to the Brooklyn market are its five two-bedroom no-fee rental apartments. Prices are starting at just $2,295/month for the upscale residences and even the most expensive unit is going for $2,450/month. Construction on the 6-story, 43-unit building wrapped late last year and was developed by Joyland Management.
The convertible two-bedroom apartments feature oversized windows which allow plenty of sunlight, open layouts, high ceilings, stone countertops, a kitchen island, dishwasher, microwave, and all new stainless steel appliances. The residences also include central AC and most have private balconies.

The large contemporary structure introduces a sense of vibrancy to the quiet neighborhood street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and provides modern amenities the up-and-coming area has not yet seen. Brooklyn-based Gee 2000 Architect PC designed the project to have large windows, balconies, an indoor recreation space, and a spacious rooftop terrace with unencumbered views. Other notable building amenities include underground parking, bike storage, a laundry room, fitness center, and virtual doorman.
