As 347 sales listings experienced price cuts over the past seven days, even the most prestigious buildings and powerful residents were not immune to market realities. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin originally listed his apartment in the Rosario Candela-designed "tower of power" 740 Park Avenue for $32.5 million in September 2018. The apartment experienced a few price drops, and the New York Post reports that it has just been relisted for $25.75 million, or more than 20 percent less than its original price. Please be advised that these figures, like all those listed below, reflect cumulative price cuts as opposed to the most recent reductions.
As of August 19, 2020, CityRealty sales listings show 11,189 condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses for sale in Manhattan, Brooklyn, western Queens, and parts of the Bronx. Manhattan median prices condo prices dropped to $2,195,742, or $1,722 per square foot. Median co-ops prices, however, ticked up a notch to $896,041.

The number of New York City rental availabilities continues its ascent to 20,833 listings. Manhattan median rents slid to $2,474/month for studios, $3,095/month for one-beds, $3,724/month for two-beds, and $4,658/month for three-beds.
