Rental Building News and Offers
AvalonBay Communities has officially launched leasing for its new rental development at 214 Duffield Street. Avalon Willoughby Square occupies floors 31 through 58 of a 634-foot, 58-story ground-up rental tower in Downtown Brooklyn. The development hosts 326 upscale apartments inside the tower, which currently stands as the tallest building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects, the high-rise is clad in a lively pixelated blue skin and its simple, two-tiered massing offers a modern new marker to the Downtown Brooklyn skyline. Below the high-end apartments of Avalon Willoughby, is AVA DoBro, which is comprised of 500 residences sporting an industrial theme.
There are currently 78 apartments for rent: twenty studios starting from $2,610/month, forty-three 1-bedroom units starting from $3,080/month, ten 2-bedrooms starting from $5,215/month, and five 3-bedrooms starting from $7,245/month. CetraRuddy designed the high-end interiors, which feature floor-to-ceiling windows, in-unit washer/dryers, hard-surface plank flooring, and sweeping city skyline views. Modern kitchens include stainless GE® steel appliances, quartz-stone countertops, and Marazzi® tile backsplashes. The top five floors feature Avalon’s Signature Collection penthouses, complete with upgraded appliances and fixtures, wine centers, recessed lighting, and exclusive service offerings.
The amenity package at Avalon Willoughby is nearly unparalleled for the neighborhood. The tower includes a fitness center with group fitness and yoga space, an outdoor terrace with lounge seating and BBQ areas, a private dining room with a demonstration kitchen, a children’s playroom with an enchanted forest theme and rentable party space, and a rooftop featuring indoor and outdoor lounge areas. The pet-friendly community offers a WAG Pet Spa with a JOG A DOG treadmill and an outdoor dog run with separate playing areas for big and small dogs, agility equipment, and a heated pergola. Avalon Willoughby also features bike storage and bike repair space, on-site garage parking, on-site and on-call maintenance, a 24-hour concierge. Designers have incorporated local artwork throughout the building and amenity spaces, making for a gorgeous view at every turn.
Located directly above a Jay Street-MetroTech Subway Station, residents at Avalon Willoughby have immediate access to the A/C, F, and R trains, and are just a five-minute walk from the 2/3, 4/5, B, and Q trains. The building also hosts an AVA Brew coffee shop, which offers residents small-batch local roasted coffee and fresh baked goods before they even venture outside. Completion for the residences is expected this year.
