Situated among the dozens of under-construction developments in Long Island City is a sleek new high-rise at 29-11 Queens Plaza North. The building was developed by Harry Gross' G-Holdings and designed by Handel Architects. Earlier this year, a Courtyard Marriott hotel opened in the building's lower 13 floors. The upper portion of the building, named Aurora, is separate from the hotel and will hold 132 rental units.
Douglas Elliman will be handling residential leasing, and the team recently launched a teaser site showing the skyline view from the apartments. Aurora's residences begin on the 14th floor and will boast ten-foot-high ceilings, Berti wide-plank oak floors, and solar shades. Kitchens are outfitted with white caesarstone countertops with full-height backslashes, white lacquered cabinets, with Bertazzoni, Bosch, and Leibherr appliances. Bathrooms feature porcelain tile floors, Grohe chrome fixtures, and Toto Aquia II elongated toilets.
In addition to granting residents jaw-dropping views of the skyline, the Queens Plaza location also provides speedy transportation access to Manhattan. Amenities for the building include a 24-hour attended lobby, rooftop terrace and lounge, laundry room, bike storage, catering kitchen, fitness center, and on-site parking garage for 61 vehicles. Residents will also have access to the hotel's bar and restaurant on the first floor.
