Factories and warehouses once located in Hells Kitchen are long-gone, but the design of the rental building 525 West 52nd Street pays them homage, giving a nod to the neighborhood's industrial history. Developers Taconic Investment Partners and Mitsui Fudosan America launched 525W52 in 2017 and its two towers rise to 13 and 22 floors, featuring a classic brick façade that has modern touches with glass metal panels, a design from Handel Architects.
Located between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue with a block-through lobby, the property has 392 rental residences with up to two bedrooms. Select listings show an offer of 3 months free on new 15-month leases with prices from $3,680/month for a 1 bedroom and $5,486/month for a 2 bedroom. Homes have large windows framing Hudson River or skyline views, and were crafted with high-end materials like Caesarstone, rich woods and honed mosaic tile.

525 West 52nd Street is for renters who are after a competitive amenity package and has 35,000 square feet of them interwoven throughout, from the building's lobby to its rooftop terrace. For fitness and recreation, there is a fully-equipped gym with both indoor and outdoor yoga studios, a massage studio, and a sports lounge has a pair of golf simulators and custom pool tables. There is also a library stacked by Strand, a screening room, and a pet care salon from Throw Me a Bone.

The larger of the two towers launched an affordable housing lottery for 80 apartments two years ago and now, a new lottery has launched for 102 apartments in the smaller tower addressed as 540 West 53rd Street. New Yorkers earning 80, 100, 125, or 165 percent of the area median income can apply for the homes which are priced from $1,091/month for studios to $3,270/month for two-bedrooms. The block-through lobby at 525W52 is more than a lobby; it has 10,000 square feet of dedicated amenity space including co-working areas and an intimate lounge, and is designed with features like polished concrete gallery floors, corten steel sculptural elements, wood ceilings, custom hand woven rugs and commissioned art pieces. It also features a glass-enclosed landscaped atrium that opens to the sky, designed by Future Green Studio. To top off the list, a 15th-floor landscaped rooftop terrace has places to lounge and take in the views, and also has an event room for private entertaining.
