Sky, the largest free-standing apartment tower in New York City, has finally opened and for a limited time the leasing office is offering one month free on 13-month leases. The 60-story building has been years in the making, and is situated at 605 West 42nd Street in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Midtown West. Like its adjacent sister condominium building The Atelier, Sky was built by the experienced New York developers Moinian Group. It contains a staggering 1,174 apartments, ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, and provides a stellar package of amenities.
Designed by Goldstein, Hill & West, the slab-shaped behemoth is clad in a sleek enclosure of glass and metal with a canted 42nd Street base that will host a dynamic set of retailers. Designed by the internationally acclaimed Rockwell Group, homes are a warm, neutral palette with custom details including Italian crafted kitchens with quartz countertops and top-of-the-line appliances, and the bathrooms are sheathed in Olympic Gray porcelain-tile. Full-height window walls offer breathtaking skyline, river, and harbor views, and many units have private balconies.
