Over the past two decades, we’ve watched the Jersey City waterfront grow into a desirable and less expensive alternative to lower Manhattan. From across the Hudson River, the city’s skyline boasts sleek office and apartment towers that can now rival most American cities. They even attract thrill-seekers like Alex Arnold, who recently scaled the city's tallest luxury apartment building - Jersey City Urby. Don't get any ideas, though. Arnold had permission from the building's developer, David Barry, to perform the stunt.

Jersey City Urby debuted roughly two years ago as the tallest and most dramatic residential skyscraper on the city's waterfront. The 69-story building rises at 200 Greene Street within the mixed-use Harborside development. It was designed by the innovative Dutch architects, Concrete, the first tower of a three-building complex from Ironstate Development and Roseland Residential Trust. The tower’s playful massing is composed of multi-story, stacked sections that cantilever off one another and are clad in differing fenestration treatments.

The towering property offers more than 750 studio to two-bedroom rentals homes in a variety of layouts. Homes are designed with custom closets, in-home washer/dryer and oversized windows for sweeping panoramic views of Jersey City and Manhattan. Currently, studios are priced from $2,425/month, one-bedrooms are from $2,795 and two-bedrooms are from $3,450.
Thoughtfully designed apartments come in a variety of layouts, from compact alcove studios to spacious corner two-bedrooms. Given the building’s height and location, most units will possess incredible views of the harbor, New York skyline and the New Jersey Highlands through wide bands of ribbon windows.

Conceived as a vertical community, the creation of high-quality communal spaces was paramount to the development team. The spaces and programs are designed to foster natural opportunities for residents to meet and interact. Residents have access to a fully-equipped gym, a heated outdoor pool, a communal kitchen, a creative lab to take part in workshops, and a café. To complement this short list of amenities, a robust program schedule will include classes and unique events. The building will also feature an attended lobby, on-site parking, bicycle storage, and a dog run.
