Along the northeaster border of Brooklyn, just as you cross into Queens, is the relatively anonymous neighborhood of Ridgewood, where a rental building that debuted just last year is offering new apartments priced at less than $2,000/month.

Dubbed The Mill, the 7-story building at 16-26 Madison Street is between Wyckoff and Myrtle Avenue, just one block away from both the L and M subway lines. The Mill has bright, modern homes with spacious living areas and a variety of layouts. Rental leasing is by MNS Marketing and listings offer a $500 gift card with a new lease; net effective prices start at $1,895/month for a studio, $2,195/month for a 1 bedroom and $2,695/month for a 2 bedroom.

Interiors have clean lines with "industrial sophistication" and can be personalized with a touch of color or unique furnishings. They have wide plank wood floors, expansive windows with some stretching from floor to ceiling, kitchens in a black and white color scheme, recessed lighting, and zoned climate control. While stainless steel appliances are seemingly the norm in modern design, kitchen appliances here follow the black and white color scheme, and include a dishwasher and microwave.
The wood flooring continues to the bathrooms, which have white subway tile walls, sleek sinks and vanities, industrial inspired lighting, and large soaking tubs.

Building amenities include a roof deck, a game room with a fireplace and kitchenette, a shared outdoor terrace, a business center and on-site parking.

Permits for the building were first filed in 2013 with the owner listed as 1614 Madison Partners LLC and show the architect of record is White Plains-based firm KSQ Architects. The site previously held a one-story post office building that was demolished in 2015. The immediate area surrounding the The Mill has many low-rise structures with large parking lots, including a supermarket across the street.
