Related will kick-off leasing at their 201-unit downtown Manhattan rental development, 261 Hudson Street in the coming weeks. A new registration site has launched pegging the building's debut in early 2017 and marketing the Robert A.M. Stern-designed building as industrial elegance in West Soho. The 12-story building marches down Hudson Street with a rhythmic facade of gray- and orange-colored bricks with cast stone accents and piers. Stern has worked with Related on several high-end residential developments in the city that include Abington House, Superior Ink and the Harrison.

Inside are 160 market-rate rentals benefitted by a marble lobby and a private landscaped garden designed by HMWhite. Per the recently-launched website, units will range from studios to two-bedrooms and loft-like layouts are graced with custom finishes and cabinetry, stone countertops and a stainless steel appliance suite. Amenities will include a fitness center curated by Equinox, a rooftop terrace with BBQs, an internal courtyard with BBQ, resident lounge, library and bicycle storage. Timeless touches will be evident throughout the common spaces. The lounge ceiling will be fitted with oak beams, and antique wool rugs will furnish the tech lounge.
With 261 Hudson’s neighborhood shoulders the West Village, Soho and Tribeca, thus providing convenient access to some of the best shopping and restaurant spots in the city. More than a dozen developments have blossomed in the quiet of Manhattan’s west side, including a new Arlo Hotel next door and Renzo Piano’s first Manhattan condo, 565 Broome Street one block away.
