One of the newest rentals coming to East Williamsburg, 66 Ainslie Street, has launched its teaser website in preparation for an official leasing launch. The site reveals that Citi Habitats will handle leasing & marketing for the no-fee apartments, which will offer “designer touches and modern finishes.” Pricing has been revealed and shows studios start at $2,575/month, 1-bedrooms at $2,875/month, 1-bedrooms with a home office at $3,225/month and 2-bedrooms at $4,375/month. Marketing material advertises the net effective rate, indicating a free-rent concession is likely offered.

Though no official launch date is given, we can anticipate its debut in the coming months. For now, registering on the new site will grant insider access to construction updates, availability announcements, and a reserve leasing list. The seven-story, 50-unit building rises atop the former site of a one-story factory building, common to Williamsburg before its development boom. Despite early objection to the design of the building, 66 Ainslie is a bold addition to the block, and stands apart from other new developments like 65 Ainslie across the street.

Constructed through the city's Inclusionary Housing Program, twenty percent of its 50 units are permanently affordable and are reserved for the randomly selected applicants from a housing lottery, which closed on May 11th, for units with monthly rent as little as $838.

The 42,500-square-foot mixed-use property was developed with a thoughtful design reflective of the areas's history and trajectory, and perhaps the retail space will incorporate both as well.
