Days after the deadline passed for an affordable lottery, leasing has launched on market-rate units at The Grand McCarren. Named in honor of its location across from McCarren Park, the six-story building’s design by Issac | Stern nods to Williamsburg’s industrial past with its red brick façade and steel-framed windows. However, two glass top levels bring it into the present, a time when an apartment on the cusp of Williamsburg and Greenpoint is one of Brooklyn’s most coveted.

All 36 studio through two-bedroom residences feature interiors by The Meshberg Group, floor-to-ceiling windows, rustic oak hardwood flooring, and in-unit washer/dryers. The kitchens come outfitted with Caesarstone counters and stainless steel appliances. Building amenities include a first-floor courtyard, second-story terrace, landscaped roof deck, fitness center, storage, bike room, and indoor parking.
MNS is handling the marketing and leasing of the market-rate listings, which start at $2,677/month for studios, $3,577/month for one-bedrooms, and $5,354/month for two-bedrooms. All prices are net effective, indicative of a rent concession. According to CityRealty listings, this puts it roughly in line with the Williamsburg median of $2,856/month for studios, $3,346/month for one-bedrooms, and $4,300/month for two-bedrooms.
