Huffington gets lofty; a model sells her bachelorette condo; live like Liza and Lance for $22k a month; a big-ticket listing hopes to break NYC record.

Journalista Arianna Huffington has just purchased a loft at 158 Mercer Street in the New Museum Building in SoHo. The 4,200 square-foot apartment, which sold for $8.15 million, has high ceilings, a 50-foot-wide living room and a 30-foot-long dressing room outside the master suite (CurbedNY).

Model Miranda Kerr found a buyer for her condo at the Jade building at 16 West 19th Street. The Ozzie supermodel and wife of Orlando Bloom sold the one-bedroom Chelsea apartment in the building–Jagger daughter Jade did the interiors, hence the name–for $1.35 million (NYPost).

Modern Family bombshell Sofia Vergara has been on a NYC apartment hunt. The actress recently checked out a five-bedroom duplex penthouse at 301 East 52nd Street. The co-op with a 1,400-square-foot terrace, which has since been sold to another buyer, was asking $4.495 million (NYPost).

An apartment that has been home to both Lance Armstrong and Liza Minnelli is back on the rental market. The 1,985-square-foot penthouse duplex at 40 Central Park South is asking $22k a month and offers–in addition to a celebrity history–Central Park views, two wood-burning fireplaces, a sunken living room and a chef’s kitchen (CurbedNY).

Big ticket, high hopes

Hedge funder Steve Cohen has listed his 9,000-square-foot penthouse condo at One Beacon Court at 151 East 58th Street for $115 million. The sales price record is currently held by an $88 million sale at 15 Central Park West, but as Cohen paid $24 million for the 51st floor duplex in 2005, he’s looking at a windfall regardless of whether the sale breaks records (NYObserver).
