Selldorf Architects—the firm that designed 200 Eleventh Avenue (shown), Chelsea condo apartmentsknown for its famed “sky garage”—is proposing a new condo building at a site at 10 Bond Street in NoHo (Curbed). The building, with six stories and a penthouse, would join other high-profile NoHo apartment buildings on the stretch of Bond Street between Lafayette and the Bowery.

The Park Slope Historic District is expected to be extended to include the South Slope from approximately 7th Street to 14th Street, 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue, and along 15th Street from 8th Avenue to Prospect Park West (Brownstoner).
     Pros and cons of having your home in an historic district? Landmarking can protect property values and add to the neighborhood's desirability and charm. On the other hand, to make sure historic relevance is preserved, homeowners must get special permits before making alterations, and must make sure the correct building materials are used.

The Financial District's biggest landlord, Nathan Berman of Metro Loft Management, spoke about his new project, a 66-story residential conversion at 70 Pine Street—which will be New York’s tallest-ever residential conversion when completed. Berman's first FiDi buy was Metro Loft at 17 John Street, converted to rental apartments in 1999 (via TheRealDeal).
